Get Ready, Get Set….

The world is a small place, we say. But even this “small” world, is colossal within. We struggle much to get things, some of which we actually get and some of which only remain among aspirations. What we really want, nay, need in life, is again a topic that’ll keep you thinking for days. This is the thing that determines if we triumph in life.

We see great personalities in the world. Come to think of it, the position they are in seems to be like something we could only imagine in our dreams. We all have that moment when we watch a movie, a famous interview, or even a documentary, that suddenly it ignites you into doing something different and spontaneous. But that particular hunger dies within a few hours, or even minutes. That’s the mistake we make. We get so much inspired by something that lights a fire within us for a few minutes and then, we let it get completely washed away from within us.

Speaking of inspiration, my mom always said, “Aim for the highest. Even if you can’t reach the highest, you’ll still land somewhere in the middle”. Disheartening? yeah you may feel so. At least that’s what I felt when I first heard it from her. But let’s put some thought into it. If we aim for something so big that seems totally impossible to us right now, we start working for it. We start incorporating that thought in everything we do. We start picturing it and gradually, we start making it real. The thing that could only be imagined in the past is now a part of our reality, somehow. And even if we don’t get what we really wanted, we get something out of it and that “something” is out what many people could imagine. And who knows, whatever Bill Gates has achieved is also the same “something” to him. All you really need to succeed is the drive that you need to have.  To be what we call, a “great personality”, we’ve got to start thinking like one. We’ve gotta start thinking what the other seven billion wouldn’t.

Live your life, hustle up, defeat your mundane mind and as your Nikes would say, “Just Do It.”
